My name is Jan Hill, and I am excited to be able to share with you over 25 years of Business Management experience. I live in Northern Michigan with my husband and children, and am currently managing a dental practice here, as well as consulting with other companies and helping them uncover the “Secrets of Social Media”!

Why Social Media?
Consumers are looking for more than just a place to buy. The progression of the internet has moved e-commerce into the next generation, where the amount of information available makes it easier to make the right choice when it comes down to spending money on goods and services. Understanding what it takes to reach these consumers is the key to doing well, because not only do we need them to find us, we need them to trust us and our business. The most successful practice for meeting this additional criteria is to develop a business blog along with using advanced Social Media Strategies. Social Media Marketing is powerful and is the future of advertising.
A little bit about me
I grew up in a small town in Northern Michigan, the oldest of 4 children. My dad is an entrepreneur; he owned several businesses while I was growing up. He taught me 3 very important things: To do what you say you are going to do, to be honest and ethical, and to be on time. Those 3 things really shaped my life. Although we didn’t have a lot of money, we as children didn’t know that. We felt like we had everything we needed for the most part. Of course we always wanted more, what kids don’t? but we appreciated what we had and didn’t really feel that we were missing much, which is a tribute to my parents.
I live in Northern Michigan with my husband, 3 children and my dog Benny. I have one son in college in San Francisco and 2 teenagers, girl and boy. Life is busy in our house, between being the all time Mom Taxi, sometimes chef, sometimes housekeeper and all the time wife and mother. I love to read, take photographs, ski and hang out with the kids in the hot tub.
My Credentials
I have successfully helped many practices get to the “next level” – the result of years of hands-on experience in the business and clinical aspects of dentistry. I have personally presented hundreds of complex dental cases, from implants to full mouth reconstruction with huge success and case acceptance. In many cases these patients have been financially challenged or haven’t had treatment in years due to bad dental experiences as well as other obstacles that would prevent them from moving ahead with treatment. Training teams on how to build relationships as well as helping patients overcome these obstacles are key to the success of any dental practice.
