Jan:
I so appreciate your thoughts on joining and getting in step with the Social Media world and in the process, reaching out to potential people, who have health/dental needs and want to know where to go and what specialty you have to offer.
What a beautiful way to extend your hand to those patients who are reaching out!
Erik Qualman’s video paints the picture!
Thanks for sharing.

I don’t think social media is a fad, but rather a new way of communication. I love the video! It is so wonderful that you are sharing your knowledge on health and dental issues. It is a very important factor in peoples lives. When I get a client that is worried about dental issues I tell them “Oh my friend has an awesome blog you should read before you make a decision about what to do” and send them to your blog for information. Keep it coming…

Great video. Have seen it many times before and actually use it as an introduction to that aspect of my own business. Social media is definitely the new paradigm in communication for ANY business, and people who have not jumped on board yet are quickly falling behind the 8 ball. It’s amazing that just a handful of years ago hardly anyone had even heard of Facebook or MySpace or Twitter. Then, to imagine using them a business tool would have been totally absurd. How fast things are changing right before our eyes! Now I spend a majority of my working hours on those platforms. Amazing! And thrilling to be connecting with people literally all around the globe. What a wonderful world!

I suppose there were people who said television was a fad, and I know there were people who thought the internet wouldn’t amount to much. Social media is here to stay although I’m sure it will evolve over time.
You and your blog are ahead of your time, Jan. Those in the dental industry that make the shift and follow your advice will be able to ride the way to success.

You are so right Teresa – there were a lot of people that said computers were a fad and look where we are now!
Thank you for the compliment – My goal is to help dentists who are looking for a better way to manage their practices – through relationship marketing, and effective systems!
